Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on the 26th of March, 1991. She is an American artist and songwriter, as well as the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. The label debuted her first EP, Pho, in October 2016 where she started to gain recognition. In October 21, 2016, the artist released her debut album titled Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017 in which she was accompanied by EarthGang. In 2018, she performed as a guest performer on two tracks, including EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video for it was released on September 5th. On the 9th of November the singer released two new singles: the 40 Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. Two more singles were released on the 11th of November, titled Pedigree and No One. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made appearances as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. The singer released the single to promote her debut titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. The track was accompanied by an accompanying music video that debuted on February 20 2019, and it surpassed the milestone of 3 million views on YouTube within the first week. She was part of 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour at the end of December 2018.
